1. How do I set up an appointment with CRC Québec?

Go the create an account page. A staff member will contact you within 7-10 days, to discuss your application and how to obtain the medical records needed to determine whether you qualify to possess cannabis for medical purposes.

2. What are the next steps?

Once we receive your medical records they will be processed by CRC Québec staff. This may take up to two weeks. A member of the CRC Québec staff will then contact you by telephone. If the medical records are satisfactory for a doctor to review, the staff will conduct a 5-7 minute interview. The medical records and your answers to the interviewer’s questions will be forwarded to one of CRC Québec’s affiliated doctors for review. The doctor’s review will determine whether you qualify for an appointment. An appointment is granted only to patients whose medical files indicate that they have a valid medical reason to use cannabis. Qualified applicants will be booked in the order their files have been received and reviewed.

3. Do I need to be referred to CRC Québec by another physician?

A physician’s referral is helpful but not necessary.

4. Once I see a doctor at CRC Québec will I automatically qualify for an Access to Cannabis for Medical Purposes Regulations (ACMPR)?

For some applicants, additional written support from a specialist may be required. CRC Québec staff will contact you upon reviewing your medical records

5. Is there an age limit to be seen by our affiliated doctors?

CRC Québec does not have an age limit for our patients. Patients under 18 years of age will require parental consent and a different appointment protocol. Please give us a call if you would like more information.

6. Is there an expiry date on the ACMPR authorization to possess cannabis?

ACMPR authorizations can be valid for a maximum of one (1) year from the date they are issued. CRC Québec will contact you 2-3 weeks before the expiration date of your authorization to book an appointment for your renewal.

7. How do I know what dose of cannabis will be supported by the doctor?

This is decided by the doctor following discussion with you during the appointment. The doctor’s decision is what will be entered on your application.

8. How much will I get signed for?

Please note the dosage that our physician fills on your ACMPR Medical Document is on a case by case scenario. During your consultation with the doctor, they will decide what the best dosage for your treatment is. Even if you do qualify under the Health Canada’s guidelines, our affiliated doctors have the right to use their discretion and may choose not to sign the ACMPR Application.

9. What if I need to make any changes to my current license?

CRC Québec staff can assist in ACMPR changes, there is no fee involved. We will require the physician you saw to be in the CRC Québec office in order to facilitate any changes to a Medical document (dosage, name change etc…). We may require a scheduled appointment to change the dosage. Please contact CRC Québec to go over any changes you may need.

10. How long will it take for me to place my first order with a Licensed Producer?

CRC Québec has relationships with certain licensed producers that may be able to provide verification within 24 hours, generally most Licensed Producers may take up to 3-10 business days. When contacting CRC Québec please let us know if you would prefer to sign up a producer that is offering fast verifications.
