1. How can I get an appointment with CRC Québec?
Go to the Apply Now tab and complete and submit the patient application form. A staff member will contact you within 24-48 hours to discuss your application and how to obtain the necessary medical records to determine your eligibility to possess cannabis for medical purposes.
2. What are the next steps?
Once we receive your medical records, they will be processed by CRC Québec staff. This can take up to two weeks. A CRC Québec staff member will contact you by phone. If your medical records are satisfactory for a medical review, a 5-7 minute interview will be conducted. Your medical records and your answers to the CRC Québec staff's questions will then be forwarded to one of CRC Québec's affiliated physicians for review. The physician's review will determine your eligibility for an appointment. Appointments are granted only to patients whose medical records indicate they have a valid medical reason to use cannabis. Qualified applicants will be processed in the order their records are received and reviewed.
3. Do I need to be referred to the CRC Québec by another doctor?
A doctor's recommendation is helpful but not necessary.
4. Once I see a doctor at the CRC Québec, do I automatically qualify for the Regulation respecting access to cannabis for medical purposes (RACFM)?
For some candidates, additional written support from a specialist may be required. CRC Québec staff will contact you after reviewing your medical records.
5. What is the age limit for being seen by our affiliated doctors?
CRC Québec has no age limit for our patients. Patients under 18 years of age must obtain parental consent and will be subject to a different referral protocol. Please call us if you would like more information.
6. Is there an expiry date on the RACFM authorization to possess cannabis?
RACFM authorizations are valid for a maximum of one (1) year from the date of issue. CRC Québec will contact you 2-3 weeks before your authorization expires to schedule a renewal appointment.
7. How can I know what dose of cannabis the doctor will prescribe?
This decision is made by the doctor after a discussion with you during the appointment. The doctor's decision is what will be recorded on your application. Please note that the dosage our doctor completes on your RACFM medical document is determined on a case-by-case basis. During your consultation with the doctor, they will decide on the best dosage for your treatment. Even if you are eligible under Health Canada guidelines, our affiliated doctors have the right to use their discretion and may choose not to sign the RACFM application.
8. What quantity did the doctor prescribe?

We will require the physician you consulted to be present at the CRC Québec office to facilitate any changes to your medical documents (dosage, name change, etc.). We may require an appointment to modify your dosage. Please contact CRC Québec regarding any changes you may need.
10. How long before I can place my first order with an approved producer?
